Evening Folks!!
Sorry to hear Steve Jobs has died. A GREAT loss for mankind. :-(
He will rank up there with Thomas Edison, Ben Franklin and Albert Einstein along with only a handful of others. Prolific life changer for EVERY person reading this.
And for those that think life is open ended......at 56, he was younger than me and not that much older than many of you. The greatest idea man of our time is gone. He can't be replaced. I think it is okay to shed a few tears on this one. I am surrounded by all things Apple.
I think he deserves an 'International Day of Mourning'

Heaven has got one of ours tonight! I fully expect the chasm between us to close now, because, Steve’s got the technology to do it for God.
Rest in Peace, our brother!

Yes, read it here first. Damn. I was a kid when Apple first became a household name, a real 80s type of company, when the field was open for new kids on the block to make it happen. It would be fair to say that he is what every entrepreneur looks up to. What a loss for America. He made Geek into Sheik. The guy worked basically right up to the wire, truly passionate.. Rest Easy Steve and say hi to others I know whom have entered those pearly gates well before their time.

May he RIP I hope his legacy lives on with Apple for generations.

I was just leaving my birthday dinner with my son tonight when I heard the news and like you started to tear up. He will be deeply missed by billions.
Even more than a computer genius, I think Steve was one of the best marketing geniuses in history. He knew how to give every Apple customer the sense that they had a personal connecttion to the CEO. Every exciting product launch drew eyeballs and worldwide media attention like no other company could pull off.
I can’t think of a single time when I’ve been at the Apple Store at the mall where it hasn’t been packed solid with customers even in this rough economy and when all the other stores are empty. That is marketing at it’s finest.
Rest well on the other side Steve and thank you for all the fantastic computer products you’ve created.

This is a loss that’s tough to bear. Like Kevin, I teared up. My chest heaved with sorrow. I can’t help it. Like you, Rick, I am surrounded by everything Apple, and the impact of Steve Jobs on my life can’t be measured. My sadness runs deep with this loss.

It took most of the world more than 30 years to see what I saw and experience what I experienced. Better late than never because Apple has just gotten started and the promise of unlocking human potential is the greatest hope for our future. With Apple computers serve people whereas with Microsoft it has been the other way around. A perception that the art of business was keeping busy all day creating PPTS and Excel spreadsheets and sitting in countless meetings to picky them apart. That will all change now especially in the enterprise.
Because as Steve always said, this isn’t for me it’s for you,

The measure of a man must surely be the gap his passing leaves, and in this case the passing of Steve Jobs doesn’t leave a gap in our world but a mighty chasm. Few, if any, can be said to have influenced and shaped our world so peacefully in the past century. The legacy of Steve Jobs surely must include the fact that he leaves us with the realisation that one person can make a huge difference in this world, and that difference can most definitely be for the better.
Thank you Mr. Jobs, we really appreciate all your efforts throughout.
