So this is how I can balance things out that helps everyone the most. This isn't written in stone yet but by the end of today, it might be.
This is what we are planning.
The early bird will now have a price of $1495. However that included 3 nights at the Bellagio less tax, fees and personal expenses.
So if you sign up next week, your ticket AND hotel room cost you less than if you wait a few months as you will see below. However we have to limit this to 50 tickets at this level or October 31, which ever happens first.
The next cutoff is on December 31st and the $1495 price remains the same but you only get 2 nights at the Bellagio. We have 50 tickets at this level.
The next cutoff would be February 28th. The $1495 price remains the same but you only get 1 night at the Bellagio. We have 50 tickets at this level.
The next cutoff would be March 31st. The $1495 price increases to $1595 the same but you still get 1 room night credit. We have 100 tickets at this level.
The next cutoff would be April 30th and the price goes to $1695. But you still get 1 room night credit. We have 100 tickets at this level.
Tickets sold from May 1 would be $1695. No hotel room included but you do get our $175 group rate.
So we do what we can to tackle the issues I described in yesterday's post. The result is lower ticket prices and better values for a longer period. Plan early and save!!

I see a couple of potential problems here. What if two persons buy tickets and both stay in the same hotel room? They pay for the same room twice? Maybe some kind of vouchers would be better? Then those two could stay for 6 nights or give a voucher to someone else. And how about people that live in Vegas or stay at friends’ place or just other hotel?

Those that don’t want to stay at the hotel will receive $100 per night off the ticket price.
If 2 people stay in the same room they will receive a credit or voucher for each night.

OK, then :) One more thing – for us Europeans there’s an additional cost of $1000+ for flights + all the trouble and time spent for travel. I know that there’s not much you can do about that but maybe some kind of special discount / bonus / auction voucher for non US participants could help boosting attendees from other countries. Just an idea.

Firstly, I must say Bellagio a great venue choice again
However, I think the same pricing structure that ya had for the 2013 show was OK.
This structure, although clever.. may not be optimal for Many
For example (among others) ..for people who live in Las Vegas area or have a condo there… or have other ” accommodations” arrangements” they will get that $100 off per night but they still will pay a higher Earliest Bird rate than the past couple T.R.A.F.F.I.C.s … so here $1,195 is the lowest ticket price vs. $995 in the past for the super earlier bird rate… so in effect one who did not stay at Bellagio for whatever reasons…would sorta still be partially paying for “some” hotel equivalent
Prolly best not to “Box” the hotel with show ticket… Would be good to keep that super early bird rate of $995 (ex hotel boxed in) with a short window again

Also getting more of the agenda & content complete or solidified Earlier and posted on the site sooner before the show would increase the probability of higher attendence (but I know that it can’t be totally complete too soon cuz of certain dynamics)…

There may be a few folks that fit in that category. But the vast majority come from out of town and this formula will achieve what we need to reduce prices and satisfy our obligations with the hotel. We won’t be able to use this formula in Miami. But it will work in Las Vegas.
