Morning Folks!!
Sometimes a very simple sentence or thought can avoid and relieve much frustration. Last week I heard a really good one that unfortunately I wish I had learned many years ago. You have the benefit of reading it now and I hope you are not on the receiving end of it.
'Poor planning on your part does not make for an emergency on my part.'
I will be using that line for the rest of my life. Probably daily. But what a great way to repel bullshit so it does not land on you.
Have a GREAT Day!

Excellent quote. One of the few that are truly functional.

Wow Rick, I just had this conversation this morning. Our version was a bit more”graphic” but this is very timely. My pet peeve is exactly this.
Simple post but PERFECT Rick:)

The Coast Guard fortunately did not say this publicly after BP’s Oil Spill! You could only imagine the political fallout if Admiral Allen had said this, even if he believed it to be true. However, the blundering VP will probably blurt out a zinger like this eventually though, just wait!

As a christian I would help people if I could. Then I got laid off because Bush needed money for Homeland security which wastes 100 billion of our dollars.
But when I needed help, everyone I had helped disappeared. So I learned you don’t have to help people, but you get to choose who you help. My judgement process has gotten much better which I’ve used in choosing better domains. So there is a plus.
Finally told someone to away nicely and by their reaction and rude insults I knew I was finally on the right track.

Don’t worry what the white house is doing- worry about your own freaking house.
In short- take care of #1 first.

I rather doubt this”new knowledge” which change your MO much.
steve
If our founding fathers thought that way we wouldn’t have a white house.
Makes me sick to see the evil filth running this country.
Wonder who wrecked the economy, and ruined domain prices…hmm

I’ll never forget the first time I read a similar statement in 2006/7:
“Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.”
It was typed up on piece of paper, taped to the wall of an office of a (very hot) student counsellor.
That statement changed my destiny.

Surprised you haven’t heard this in the past, but it’s verity is profound. It’s a great conversation stopper when the conversation moves toward B.S. ;-))

This happens with us every other day when people forget birthdays and anniversaries and call us to deliver flowers at 11th hour.
